One of the most valuable resources to help bereaved parents heal from their loss is a sense of community. Support groups help those who have lost a child to understand and express their feelings, but understanding the components of a successful loss support group is crucial to help bereaved parents truly heal. This guide details each component of the support group session, and the characteristics of a successful support group, and provides a full year of curriculum for both a general perinatal loss bereavement group and a miscarriage/early pregnancy loss group. It also includes a 9-month curriculum for subsequent pregnancy support and 6-month curriculum for a TFMR group.
